Ubersmith \u2018how to\u2019 guides!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>For this post we\u2019re going to walk you through how to understand your invoice.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Prior to the start of every billing period you\u2019ll receive an automated invoice through our billing system.\u00a0 This invoice will be delivered to you via email to any email address listed as a billing contact on your Ubersmith account, <em>(If you don\u2019t know how to set up a billing contact on Ubersmith, you can check out our handy how to guide here:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/ioflood.com\/blog\/how-to-add-a-contact-in-ubersmith\/\">How To Add Contacts <\/a>)<\/em> and also available for review in our Ubersmith account management portal.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>First of all, you will need to go to the IOFlood account management portal and log into your IOFlood account by putting in your username and password, just like our friend Max here did.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Once you get into the account management portal, there are three places where you can find any outstanding invoices you have on your account, as you can see in this screenshot.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"303\" class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>So, now, let&#8217;s look at the rest of the information provided on your invoice.\u00a0 We\u2019ll start at the top and work our way down.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"112\" 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Invoice Date:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the date that the invoice is sent out to you.\u00a0 In most instances, our customers are set so the invoice is sent ten days before the due date.\u00a0 As you can see here, this invoice has been sent 10 days before the due date for payment.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Invoice Due Date:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the date that the invoice is due to be paid by.\u00a0 It is important to remember that invoices that aren\u2019t paid by the due date are at risk of This is a combination of your client identification number and the invoice number.\u00a0 In this instance, you can see that the invoice number we are looking at is #5 &#8211; 156.\u00a0 The client identification number is #5 and the invoice number is #156.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"459\" <\/strong>This information reflects the most current records we have on file for your company, including company name, contact person and billing address.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><em>If you need to update this information, you can learn how by reading this how to guide:\u00a0 <a href=\"https:\/\/ioflood.com\/blog\/how-to-update-a-contact-in-ubersmith\/\">How To: Update a Contact in Ubersmith<\/a><\/em><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Client Ledger:<\/strong>\u00a0 This includes any previous unpaid balances on your account that are not included in this invoice.\u00a0 In this instance, Max has an outstanding balance on another invoice for $265.00.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Current Charges:<\/strong>\u00a0 These are the new charges that are being added on this invoice.\u00a0 In this instance, Invoice #5 &#8211; 156 has a total balance of $960.00 of new charades being added to Max\u2019s account.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Account Balance:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the combined total of the previously unpaid balances on your account and all new charges that are being added.\u00a0 This is the total amount currently outstanding on your account as of the date that this invoice was issued.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"411\" invoice.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>ID#:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the individual ID number of the service in question.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Service Description:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is detailed information on the service in question.\u00a0 This includes the server name, the primary IP address assigned to the server and a brief description of the specifications of the server.\u00a0 Service description of the first service on this invoice shows that this server name is iof1211.pnap.ioflood.com and the primary IP assigned to this server is 192.168.0.18.\u00a0 This service is a Dual Intel Xeon E5-2680v2 CPUs with 2x 1.6TB SSD\u2019s and 128GB RAM.\u00a0 It has one single \/29 of IP\u2019s allocated, which provides 5 usable IP addresses.\u00a0 This service has 10TB \/mo of allowable bandwidth at 1gbps, and overall costs a total of $240 \/mo.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Date Range:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the billing period for the service.\u00a0 This invoice covers server rental from June 7th 2021 to July 7th 2021.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Total Price:<\/strong>\u00a0 This is the total cost for the server each month.\u00a0 As you can see from both the Service Description and the Total Price, this server is $240 \/mo.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Invoice Total:<\/strong> Finally, this is the total amount owing on this invoice for all services that are included in this invoice.\u00a0 This invoice is for 4x servers, each server costs $240 \/mo.\u00a0 The total for this invoice is $960.\u00a0 (4 x $240).<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"142\" been outstanding for.\u00a0 As a general rule, following our <em>Overdue Billing Policy <\/em>which you can read here, <em>\u00a0<\/em><a href=\"https:\/\/ioflood.com\/blog\/ioflood-policies-overdue-billing\/\">Ioflood.com &#8211; Overdue Billing Policy<\/a> there would rarely be circumstances where any invoices should be showing as aged by 30 days or more.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>Which now brings us to the last section of our invoice!<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img receive the payments from their customers.\u00a0 Any payment made on this invoice will appear in this section if they are made prior to the invoice being generated.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Refund History: <\/strong>\u00a0If payments made on this invoice have been refunded, they will appear in this section.\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p><strong>Invoice Amount Outstanding:<\/strong>\u00a0 Again, this is the total amount due for all services included on this invoice, as of the date the invoice was generated.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\"\/>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n<p>So, there you have it.\u00a0 That is our comprehensive guide to understanding your
