March was unusually busy, so this month we’re skipping from February to April.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

If you’ve been following along, we’ve been tracking changing parts prices for RAM, SSDs, Hard Drives, CPUs, and a couple of GPUs. Typically this is done monthly, and then shared with WHT and on our blog.<\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

Some noteworthy changes from last month:<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n

  • It was interesting to see that the price of the 1.6Tb SSD’s has this month returned to the prices seen back in January. <\/li>
  • There have been continued decreases almost completely across the board with RAM prices, especially in the 32Gb DDR4.<\/li>
  • Similarly there have been continued decreases in the Higher end E5-v3 (2660, 2670, and 2680 model) CPU prices as well. <\/li>
  • Perhaps the most noteworthy change has been the significant decrease in the costs and availability of the 12TB HGST drives, down to $299 this month.<\/li><\/ul>\r\n\r\n\r\n\r\n
