How To: Set Up a Paypal Subscription

Welcome to another  of our ‘How To’ customer guides!

For this post we’re going to walk you through another of the most common questions we get asked in the billing department.

How can I add a PayPal Subscription to my account?

We know that our customers are busy running their businesses and have better things to do than to worry about simple billing matters.  Having a PayPal Subscription on file simplifies the management of your account and allows your invoices to be paid on the day they are due and helps to mitigate the risk of overdue invoices or service suspensions for non payment.

The best part is, just like adding a credit card to your account,  it only takes a few minutes to do following these simple step by step instructions!

First of all, a very important disclaimer about Paypal subscriptions!  The day you set up your subscription will be the day the payment is made every month.  Invoices are sent out 10 days before their due date, so we strongly recommend setting up your Paypal subscription shortly after receiving your invoice to ensure you will always pay on time and minimize any risk of interruption to your service.

Now, to set up a Paypal Subscription, you will need to go to the IOFlood account management portal and log into your IOFlood account by putting in your username and password, just like our friend Max here did.

Once you’ve logged in, you need to navigate to the menu on the left side of the page and under ‘Client Profile’ you need to select ‘View Services’

Which will bring you to a list of all of your current active services, and should look something like this:

To set up a PayPal subscription, start by clicking on the “View Services” link on the left:

From there you will find yourself with a full list of all of your IOFlood services, which should look something like this:

Next we need to select “Paypal Subscription” from the right side of the service item you want to set up the subscription on.

This opens a popup window that should look like this.

In this window you just need to confirm that the details of the subscription (being the service item and the amount) are correct, and then you click “Create Subscription” at the bottom.

This will automatically redirect you to the Paypal login prompt for you to enter your Paypal login details:

If you have multiple payment methods in your Paypal, this is where you need to choose the payment method that you want to use for your recurring payments.

Then click ‘Continue’ to get to the next screen.  This is the confirmation screen where you get to review all your information and make sure it’s correct.

Again, once you’ve double checked your details are correct, then you can click “Agree & Subscribe”

Once your subscription has been confirmed you can close the popup window and return to your IOFlood Billing Manager where you will see a confirmation that the subscription has been successfully completed.

And that’s it, your service will now automatically be paid by paypal every month while you deal with more important things.

If at any time you want to check on what paypal subscriptions you have active, you can do so by selecting “Paypal Subscriptions” from the menu on the left.
